  • Every student is solely responsible for his/her content – including posts, comments, likes, shares and follows – when using social media.
  • Students should avoid posting or sharing any comments, photos, videos, etc. that damage the image of the school and of the church.
  • Students should avoid transmitting any material that is hateful or, racially, ethnically or otherwise offensive and discriminating.

Plagiarism

Plagiarism is a serious offense in HCTC. Plagiarism is defined as copying/stealing and passing of someone else’s ideas or words without crediting the source, or committing literary theft. Therefore, plagiarism is a serious ethical issue; it is illegal. Plagiarism can result in punishments such as a failing grade on the particular assignment, the entire course, or even being expelled from the institution.
